Adebayo, this is not so. Johnson, Clinton, Obama (and even George W. Bush tried to) expanded social welfare.

The French are being asked to stay at work for an additional two years to relieve their children of paying so much for their retirement. NOT UNREASONABLE.

France faces a similar problem to many wealthy countries. They have to become more productive, and that would raise living standards and opportunities.
