America has never been stronger in cross-the-board measures. Leadership (or, instead, the lack of it) is much of the reason for American despondency.
Neither Trump nor Biden offered aspirations for America, although business strength and ingenuity have held the ship together. Both presidents looked backward and not forward. One was incompetent, and the other mediocre.
China remains most valuable to the U.S. Manufacturing excellent, inexpensive EVs is a prime example but America is shutting out this advantage.
Biden's exit from the presidential race can rejuvenate the Democratic Party. Tomorrow's Fourth of July would be bold and clever timing.
