Biden didn't need Gaza for his journey to meet St Peter. A clever Biden would have declined to run again and focused on solutions for the Middle East.

Even in young voters' minds, Biden's performance on Israeli, and particularly Gaza and the plight of Palestinians, is down the list from the economy and general dissatisfaction with the lackluster President.

The Israel mess makes Biden look weak to many Americans. He is an incrementalist, and at critical moments, this doesn't work.

For Democrats to retain the White House, they must make BOLD changes. Biden is on a path to lose.

They can dump Biden and have an open convention to find a younger, more talented nominee. Or, they could replace Harris (who offers little) with a communications wizard who can help Biden win.
