To clarify for your readers: The Economist has worries over the authoritarianism of Xi Jinping's China but is not anti-China.

Americans feel the threat of being dominated by China, much as decades ago by Japan.

They also grossly underestimate China's enormous contribution to the American economy and their heightened living standards.
