A thorough and passionate article, Chris Snow.

Dividing the world between friends and foes and building walls will not deliver the safer, more prosperous America and world you envisage.

On the security side, it's a move away from mutual interests and severs vital communication. Mistrust, paranoia, miscalculation, and dangerous threats would surface from nowhere.

Look what happened when a balloon floated across America, and we found ourselves without communication with China. A few days later, we were blasting sportsmen's kites out of the sky with F16s and missiles capable of sinking a dreadnaught.

The prosperity loss would be staggering. This has already begun. American households currently pay $800 per year for the China tariffs. Biden (bless the old fool) is reintroducing a chip industry that will NEVER be profitable, unlike shipbuilding and steel, which had their day. Ordinary Americans will be paying this premium decades into the future for the illusion of security.

I invite you to read "America Is art by Its Poor Relationship with China."

Many thanks
